When to play
November to February is peak season: cool mornings, dry fairways and the busiest tee sheets – book a week or two ahead. March to May is hot, so tee off at dawn. June to October brings green-season rates and quieter courses; storms usually arrive in the afternoon, so morning rounds rarely wash out. See Hua Hin weather by month.
Golf transfers
Golf bags need space. An SUV takes four players with bags; the VIP van takes eight players with bags and still leaves room for pull-carts. Our local rides start at ฿1,000 for an SUV and ฿1,300 for the van, and airport pickups from Bangkok start at ฿2,200 for an SUV. Full details are in our golf transfers guide.
Planning a golf trip
- Most visiting groups play four or five courses over a week, mixing the big names with a relaxed round at Royal Hua Hin.
- Caddies are standard at Thai courses; tipping is expected and set by each club's customs.
- Carts are optional on some courses and compulsory on others.
- Non-golfers can spend the day at the beach, markets or a spa – Hua Hin is easy for mixed groups.
